1.suggest (say an idea to be considered )提议，建议。suggest作"建议"时，其后的宾语从句中谓语多为"should+动词原形 "，其中还可省略。如：
They suggested we not waste any more money.

suggest还可跟动名词或名词(doing sth.)作宾语。如：
The teacher suggested reading some world famous works
suggest作"暗示，表明，说明，意味着"时，所跟宾语从句不用（should do）的谓语结构。如：
