though, 尽管，虽然，引导让步状语从句，可在句首和句尾。
但though 和but 不能同时出现在一个句子中。
（２） There was hardly a cloud in the sky.
天空几乎没有一丝云彩。a cloud 是可数名数。如果是名词复数和不及物动词，则用hardly any。例：
There is hardly any hair on his head.
There are hardly any trees on top of the rock.
