Where are you from?
【重点、难点点拨】
1．say, talk, speak。
这三个动词都是“说”的意思，但用法不同。
say侧重指说的内容。后面宾语多为原话或其他名词，代词，句子等成分。例如：
Wei Hua says, “We are all friends.” 魏华说，“我们都是好朋友”。
Can you say this word in English? 你能用英语说这个词吗？
talk指相互之间的“谈话，交谈”，一般作不及物动词用，后面不带宾语。例如：
Stop talking. It's time for class. 不要谈话了。该上课了。
They are talking happily. 他们高兴地交谈着。
speak通常也作不及物动词，侧重说话的能力和方式。当speak作及物动词带宾语时，宾语
往往是某种语言的名称。例如：
The baby can't speak yet. 那个婴儿还不会说话。
Who's speaking? （电话用语）你谁呀？
I can't speak Japanese, but I can speak some English.
我不会说日语，但我会说些
英语。
另外，要表示“和某人谈话”可以说speak to sb. 或talk to sb. 如：
My father is talking(speaking) to his friend. 我父亲在跟他的朋友交谈。
2．little 与a little
little 与a little 都表示“一点儿”，后面均跟不可数名词。但little(= not much)
表示否定，意为“几乎没有”。而a little(= some but not much )表示肯定，意为“有一
些”。例如：
There is a little water in the bottle. 瓶子里有点水。
I have little time. 我几乎没有时间了。
【重点、难点例题解析】
1． 选择正确的译文。
(1) 她教我们英语。
A. She teaches our English.
B. She teaches us English.
解析：汉语的表达可以说1）她教我们的英语。也可以说2）她教我们英语。两种说法没有差别。
而英语只有类似2）的说法。因为teach可以用作完全及物动词，也可用作双宾语动词。可以说：
She teaches you.
She teaches English.
She teaches you English.
English作为语种，它只能属于一个民族和一个时期，根本不存在属于某个人。
She teaches us English. 是动词teach作双宾语动词用。
本题答案应是B项。
至于She helps me with my English.中的my English是指“我学习英语的情况”。和语
种无关。
(2) 你认为中国怎么样？
A. What do you like about China?
B. How do you like China?
解析：A句中介词about是“关于，有关”的意思。What do you like about…是“你喜
欢……的什么？”B句How do you like…= What do you think of…是“你觉得……怎么样”
的意思。例如：
How do you like the Great Wall? 你认为长城怎么样？

本题答案是B.
2．用代词it, one填空。
A: Do you have an eraser? B: Yes, I have ________.

解析：第一个空应填one。 表示泛指“有（块）橡皮”。第二个空应填it。表示说话人想
