1． 学习不规则名词复数。
以前我们学的名词是可数名词，它们有复数形式。可数名词复数的规则变化如下：
(1）直接加－s
cup—cups tree—trees
(2）以s, sh, ch, x等字母结尾的加－es
bus—buses watch—watches
(3）辅音字母加y结尾的要变y为i再加es
baby—babies family—families
少数名词的复数形式是不规则的。（即不能在它们的词尾加－s或－es。）本单元出现的有三个：
man—men woman—women child—children
2．学习there be句型。
there be句型是“某地有某物”的意思。它表示的“有”是指“存在”。句型中的be(is, are)必须与它后面所跟名词（主语）在“数”上保持一致。例如：
There is a picture on the wall. 墙上有幅图画。
There are some books on the desk. 书桌上有些书。
当there be后面所跟名词有两个或两个以上时，动词be通常与最靠近它的名词在“数”上保持一致。
例如：
There is a coat and two shirts on the clothes line. 晾衣服绳上有一件外套和两件衬衫。
另外，当肯定句中有some时，变为否定句或疑问句通常要将some改为any。
例如：
There is some water in the glass. —— There isn't any water
in the glass.
【重点、难点例题解析】
1． 句型转换。将下列句子改为否定句。
There are some trees on the hill.

解析:
there be句型由肯定句变成否定句或一般疑问句时，如果句中有some,一般要变为any。本题答案应为：There
aren't any trees on the hill.
同样，由疑问句变为肯定句时，如果句中有any, 则要变成some。

2．根据划线部分提问。
